I designed and made a capsule wardrobe for dancers. Working with both stretch jersey and woven fabrics, and using both sewing and hot works construction techniques, I created a collection inspired by the dance crazes of the 1920s.

Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2023

The designer Rhianon Mathews tasked us with creating shorts for the dancers featured in the 2023 Edinburgh Military Tatoo. We started by creating a sample to check all construction techniques, using a combination of domestic sewing machines and overlockers. We then worked in stages to produce the final products being sure to pattern match the costume tartan printed lycra.

toiling process for leotard

I designed and made a high-concept outfit for dancers. Working with stretch jersey and hybrid construction techniques (such as laser cutting, heat bonding mixed with sewing) I created a two-piece outfit of a cut-out leotard and leggings.
