about me

I am a professional Apparel Designer & Technical Apparel Designer, now also following my passion for theatre.

Growing up in Bristol I have been surrounded by its creativity, which has embedded a love of performance in me. So I am concluding a Masters degree in Performance Design at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama specialising in costume design.

I have found passion in sustainability throughout my career and believe we can all do our part in reducing our impact on the environment.

my work

I’m incessantly passionate about everything I do, and always strive to be the best version of myself. I’m creative, practical, inquisitive and have a unique perspective, having worked as a fashion designer at Aday and studied Performance Sportswear Design for my BA Hons degree. Like many creatives, I’m dyslexic and view this as a massive advantage in helping me see things creatively, logically and with a huge eye for detail.

I have always been drawn to the human form and how it moves. In my costume design work, I often explore distorting the silhouette whether it be to create comical characterisation or magical forms.

In apparel design, I strive to create clothes that meet the needs of the wearer, whether for support, flexibility or wearability. I draw inspiration from my love of performance to create beautiful and elegant pieces that steer away from fast-fashion trends and focus on longevity.

Working in an industry renowned for its mistreatment of the planet I have developed a passion for sustainability. Having been instrumental in gaining Aday their B Corp certification I have now turned my attention to the theatre industry, writing my Masters thesis on the environmental impact of the theatre world and how it might improve.
